My family and I went to Raleigh for the weekend of 02/22/19 to 02/24/19. All throughout our stay me and my daughter were constantly slapping ourselves from stings and bites. We really thought it was just us or something because my wife and son, who stayed as well, were not being bit. Once we were about to check out, my daughter was bitten like crazy and my hands, arms, and neck was super swollen! Still didn't say anything to the hotel because we wanted to be sure. We left the hotel and went straight to an Urgent Care where it was confirmed that it was Bed Bugs!!! The doctor also said that my wife and son probably didn't feel anything because everyone's body responds differently to the bites of insects! I then called the hotel to speak with a manager. I told him everything that was going on and also emailed him pictures of the bites and swollen body parts! He actually stated that he couldn't understand how that could be because they have the hotel sprayed once a month. He told me that I would be getting a full refund but he first wanted to send the pictures to the pest company they deal with and then the hotel owners, and he would be contacting me back, 10 days past and I have heard anything. They won't respond to my calls or my emails! So, I called Wake County Health department who was surely not pleased by this, or the way that I was handled by the hotel. They immediately started their investigation! I was actually trying to allow the hotel to handle this without major public exposure, but evidently they could care less! SO, BEWARE THIS HOTEL!!!! IS NOT AS CLEAN AS IT LOOKS!!!!!

This occurred on Wednesday night and Thursday night March 4 and 5. We thought we saw tiny ones on Wednesday night, but brushed it off. On Thursday night after returning from an all day conference, we found a large bed bug. We went down to report it to management and to end our reservation and go to another hotel. The woman at the desk said she couldn't refund, that general manager would need to do it. He wouldn't be in until Friday in a small window of time. She did not offer anything else except to maybe move rooms - no way after finding multiple bugs. She didn't apologize or indicate any real concern. There was no one sent to our room to check anything. I have MULTIPLE bites on my arms and legs. My coworker, who booked the room, is still fighting to get a refund for the time we spent at the hotel.

I stayed at the Quality Inn Downtown Raleigh on Nov 18-20, 2022 for a two night stay. The first night, my impressions were mediocre. I even checked the mattresses, but the beds appeared clean at first. The second night however, an adult bedbug crawled across my pillow. I snapped a picture, and immediately packed my things to leave. The woman at the front desk helped me out by washing all of my clothes/bag and anything else I could run through a washer/dryer. I showered and hand washed everything I could, and threw the rest out. I emailed the manager and got no response about the situation. Today I tried calling, and the employee was very rude and hung up on me. Seems like they want to just ignore the situation and pretend it never happened!
