Feb 14-21, 2019 was our second stay at this hotel, they should be responsible to provide a safe, habitat-able room for a vacation stay however our room had bed bugs. The fifth day into our stay, my husband woke up to a bug the size of a lady bug on his forehead, they were everywhere under the mattress and who knows where else on our possessions. The Manager did not contact us directly throughout our stay, I had to nail him down just to speak to him, he was supposed to give us a claim form but failed to. He made the staff deal with us and I feel they must deal with bed bugs on an ongoing bases because of the way we were treated, the head of housekeeping made it sound like it is no big deal and these things happen in the hotel industry. I am sick to my stomach with the whole experience. We were very respectful of other guests and now feel we should have made a big scene so the manager would have paid better attention to our situation. This experience is very unnerving and it ruined our vacation. I have a deep seeded fear of bringing any home. I also feel a $214 credit against our room charge was insignificant compared to what we are still enduring. It took nearly 8 hours just to launder all of our clothing with 1 washer and 1 dryer on property. Housekeeping did treat our luggage but should have taken all of our clothing and used their big dryers to eradicate any bugs but they wouldn't because they did not want to be responsible for our personal belongings. The front desk did give us about $20 worth of quarters but it was our responsibility to take immediate action. I am extremely upset and disappointed with this hotel's on-site manager and the lack of compensation for our horrific experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
