I stayed at this hotel for a training course held at location next door August 21st through the 23rd in 2017. After the second night of our stay, while at my training I itched my stomach and felt something itch like a bug bite. When I lifted my shirt I saw a series of tiny bites. I checked with one of my co-workers, who is a nurse, and she confirmed it was bed bugs. I left the training and rushed back to the hotel where my husband and 1 year old still were and informed the front desk. The assistant manager came out and told us that this location has never had bed bugs before. I told her that's all fine and dandy but it seems like now they do. We asked if we could move into another room so I could shower and use their dryer to place all of our clothes to kill any that might be in our things; she agreed, and gave us quarters and laundry detergent. The whole time she did not appear to believe us, and did not offer to do anything until we asked to be compensated, asked for a new room, and asked to use their dryer. The assistant manager did call a pest control company which confirmed the presence of bed bugs; only then did she apologize. We received a call a few days later from their corporate office, asking if we needed anything. We told them that they needed to have a conversation with their assistant manager about her attitude, and willingness to believe the customer. Luckily we did not bring any home. After using their dryer, leaving our luggage outside, stripping ourselves (and my poor 1 year old) naked before entering the house, we never had any other issues. Needless to say, it took me a while to get passed the stress of staying in a hotel again.
