The date of our "stay" was Friday, Sept. 28, 2018. The first room we were given, room 103, had a musty smell, was not very clean, and had no shower curtain. The woman at the front desk switched us to room 123. That room was cleaner, did not smell like the other room, and had a shower curtain. Shortly after we got settled in the room, my friend saw a bug near her pillow. We dismissed it, killed it, changed and went out to dinner. Hours later, we were back in our room and getting ready for bed. My friend noticed another one of the same bugs. This time it was under her pillow. We pulled up Google images for bed bugs and concluded it was one!!! We went to the front desk with our concerns. The woman came back to our room and unzipped the mattress covers. Looking closely on the mattresses, we saw juveniles bed bugs on both beds! (Again, we identified them using online photos.) While she offered to move our room for the 3rd time that day, we opted to quickly leave. It was about 8:30 PM on Friday night - we had to pack up everything, find a new hotel to stay last minute and ultimately pay a higher price for our room! And to add insult, they still charged our credit card after we quickly vacated at 9pm at night after telling us they wouldn’t charge. When contacting the office manager to reverse the charge, she said, “Well you know they travel….” And couldn’t quite understand our concerns about that problem of bed bugs!! We have to go elsewhere and pay double for a room.
