Prior to July 3, 2018 my sister who lives in Apt. 231 (Dawn Hollar) was getting bitten up, she went to her dermatologist who said you had bug bites). I contacted the apartment managers about this situation. Previously Dawn had received a call from her ODC Case Manager at the end of May explaining another client who lives in the Key Apartments was struggling with bed bugs and wanted to inform Dawn. At that time we purchased some bed bug spray and sprayed her mattress. Near the end of June I noticed a plethora of bits on my sisters legs and arms and I mentioned they could be bed bugs. Once she got the confirmation from her doctors, I called the apartment managers on July 3 and on July 5 to see how they were taking care of the situation. At that time, the washed her bedding and blankets and did a heat treatment. I stopped into the apartment office on July 5 to speak with the manager (Tony) and he explained what he had done and that he had set out "bug traps" to see if his treatment worked. When I returned to spend a night with my sister on August 1 I awoke the next morning to about 12 bites on my arms and legs. I informed my sister who contacted the apt. manager who said they were looking into a new treatment for this situation. I spent August 20 with my sister again and received about 20 bites last evening. I called the Apartment Managers this morning to request they attend to this situation. My sister has some cognitive delays and cannot always comprehend information shared with her, so I am her guardian.
