Date: Sunday night, June 17th, 2018 Checked in late after driving all day into the night, very tired and needed a quick place to stay. Asked for a downstairs room so we didn't have to carry things up stairs. When we first entered room we checked around and found long hair in the bathroom on floor, and there was dog hair covering the bedspread, which we threw on the floor to avoid. Checked the sheets which appeared clean, but found dog hair on one of the pillows. Threw it on a chair. Husband found two beetle carcases and dog food on the floor near wall. Very tired and just pulled the sheets down half way to inspect, no further. In am, checked out and went on our way. By evening I had red swellings on face, feet, back of arm, on arm. around knee and on one thigh. Bites were in clusters and I didn't even know what they were. They got progressively worse over several days and I treated them with hydrogen peroxide and essential oils which helped alot. I still have the bites healing and scabbing over. Called the motel 6 after finding out they were Bed Bug bites and reported. Got no immediate info and was asked to call the manager on Monday 6/25 morning. Called the manager and was treated as though my situation didn't matter at all. She just had complete disregard for the situation and claimed they have no problem at their motel since they SPRAY weekly for bedbugs. WHY would you spray weekly for bedbugs IF you don't have any? or have never had a problem with them? She wouldnt even acknowledge my mention of a simple refund. Complete disregard as to my problem that was caused by our stay at their motel. Very uncaring. We're not looking for something to get out of this, just a proper resolving of the situation. Either way, I must have been there at the wrong time before they needed to spray to kill what was there. We did not stay at another motel, so therefore the bedbugs had to be at this motel 6. Its the only place we stayed. We were willing to deal with the dog and human hair and other grossness, but bedugs are a whole different story. As per the ratings above, Cleanliness was poor, Service and Staff has to be rated Poor since even the manager had no regard for her customer and As for value for the price, it would have been good if the room was cleanly but there is NO value in a filthy room and bug bites.

6/29/22 9 pm. Checked in late, found juvenile bed bug on the bed. Took a picture and demanded a refund, desk clerk denied it was a bed bug. She called her manager who also argued with me. Eventually promised a credit to my card which I eventually received.
