Bedbug Reviews

Anonymous

February 2018. Notified apartment office that we saw a bedbug. Daughter started with one or two bites upon moving in, initially. Progressed over the next few months. First, we thought fleas. It wasn't until February when we saw the first bedbug. The office lady tried to say she knew the last tenants and they didn't have bedbugs. Lies! They will only let you use their exterminator, who does not use heat treatment - even though WE are the ones that have to pay for it. He only uses chemicals, which after four treatments has not solved the problem. They appear to be coming from the neighbors on the other side of the wall. But, this GENIUS exterminator said they can't travel through walls. Calls to other exterminators show the overwhelming majority disagree. Plenty of info online indicates heat as the only effective treatment. The apartment's exterminator refuses. The apartments will NOT let us hire our own exterminator NOR treat the other apartments within the same building to get rid of these things. It is now June, and we are left with the only option being to seal off as much as we can, in the way of vents and plugs, covering the baseboards with diatomaceous earth, and waiting out our lease until we can close up all belongings in a uhaul with a heater for a few hours to ensure these things do not travel to the new place. The apartments try to place blame on us, as residents, though we KNOW we did not have this problem prior to moving. They refuse any responsibility and refuse to go to the measures necessary to eradicate these bugs from the property.
