Arrived at the hotel on 6/1/2018, had a host of problems from the beginning. Got into the room, everything was damp, something was wrong with the heater. Went to put the bags in the bathroom as a normal travel precaution against bed bugs, floor was weirdly slipper and wet. We were super tired, we had to get up early, and the hotel was nothing like advertised, so we just went to bed demoralized. We used the heater to blow dry our room while we were gone all day, came back and collapsed. I noticed the wall paper was peeling funny. Went to sleep, half way through the night woke up with itchy welts. Desk staff had already refused to fix or even acknowledge anything and I'd already maxed out the customer service fits I was willing to pitch. I showed the staff, without really expectations. Rising to the occasion, they completely denied there was a problem and told me I should have brought the issue to their attention the first night. We put everything in the bathtub, laid down in the bathroom because I could not bear to wake up with another bed bug on me and left as soon as we could the next morning. I shouldn't have been surprised. The hotel was advertised as newly remodeled and from the moment entering the back portion they called the C wing, it was like some dystopian 1970's version of the hotel in the shining. After the trouble we had the first few days, I wish we would have just left right away. Everything in a plastic bag. Wondering if I should burn my stuff. I have a photo of the first set of bites. I just don't know how to upload it.
