I checked into this hotel at approximately 6pm on 5/23/18 and was assigned Rm #102. Upon inspecting the room I found inches of dust, crumbs, etc around the baseboards and carpets around the entire room, the sheets and bed-skirt was filthy, the furniture had an inch of dust on it, and when I inspected the mattress, I found traces of bed bugs. I had an infestation about 5 yrs ago in my apartment caused by a family member who stayed at a hotel then came to my apartment, and it was a living nightmare trying to get rid of them. Therefore I know exactly what to look for when it comes to bed bugs! Sure enough, upon inspecting the bathroom I found a big black spider and a BED BUG crawling on the floor! I immediately informed the front desk clerk and John, the manager, and was treated as if I was inconveniencing THEM for reporting how filthy the room was and reporting bed bugs. I had booked the hotel through hotels.com so the manager told me I would have to go through them for a refund. I was offered a different room initially, but after seeing the condition of the room and finding out there were bed bugs, I was not willing to risk another infestation. When I reviewed this hotel's reviews online after the fact, I found numerous reports regarding this hotel describing the same issues I experienced, including reports of bed bugs dating back to 2015! Many guests complained of the inches of dust build up, horrible odors in the rooms, rude and unprofessional staff, etc--all of the things I experienced. Something needs to be done because I don't wish a BED BUG infestation on anyone and clearly this hotel does not care to correct the problem! By far the dirtiest room I've ever seen!
