Date of stay 8-14-2020 to 8-15-2020 BED BUGS* BEWARE!!! Arrived at hotel to check in and had to get a bigger room for more money, total 1-night price of $315. I did see a bug on the bed but dismissed it because bed was close to the window. Left next morning, bites appeared that evening all over my body and face. Called the next day Sunday and told the staff I wanted to speak to an owner and was told he wasn't in until Monday and she left him an urgent message. Never received a call so I called back talked to Kristen and she said the owner was out of town and would not get back with me. I told her the problem and she said "how do you know they were bed bugs, they may have been box elder beetles". I know what those beetles look like these were a brown tick-like bug which I later looked up and they were, in fact, bed bugs! The woman was rude and condescending and said she could not issue a refund but would give me a gift card for a later stay... Never will I sleep at this crooked hotel. Looking at reviews staff has been informed many times over the last several years and has done nothing to fix the problem. When trying to complain you cannot get a manager or owner to talk to you. Front desk clerks not helpful and will NOT REFUND ANYTHING EVER!!!! ROOM WAS A WHOPPING $315 for 1 night and it was awful in every way!
