This was on 7/15/22. We found a bedbug on our bed after the first night we had already slept there. We were visiting my son at overnight camp. We immediately told the front desk and she acted like she could care less. Said “oh sorry we have never seen that here before, we won’t charge you”. We gathered our stuff and immediately left. They never offered to clean any of our things or do anything for us. This hotel is dirty and I would never stay there ever again!

This was on 8/26/22 at about 10 or 11 at night. We checked in earlier in the evening and had settled into our room. My husband and I were sitting on the bed just before going to sleep and my husband noticed a bedbug crawling toward him on the bed. We decided to leave immediately. I told my husband to put our belongings in the car while I called the front desk. No one answered, so I went to the front desk. There was a sign there saying that no one was on site until morning and listed an emergency number. I called that number and got ahold of someone and explained the situation. They said they weren’t sure what to do and this had never happened in their hotel before. They asked what I wanted and I told them we were leaving immediately and wanted a full refund, which they said they would give. They said they would check over the room in the morning, so I’m sure they didn’t try to notify any guests in any surrounding rooms. We left the hotel and were lucky to get the last available room at another hotel a few miles away. After arriving at our new hotel we came to this website to make a report and found that The Eagle River Inn (where we had just left) had another incident in the room next to ours just a month before (room 115). Overall the hotel was dated and fairly dirty and I would not recommend it with or without bedbugs because of the state of the building or the attitude of the staff.
