Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

3/23. Checked in 4pm. Noticed a pencil eraser sized bug crawling up my leg. Killed it. Laying in bed I saw a reddish bug crawling on my pillow. Flipped it over to see many more. Went to front desk. Got a new room. Went to new room. On first inspection it was clear. After a few minutes noticed another crawling on my sheets. Mgmt said to wait til AM to discuss refund. Am now at the Hampton inn next door.

8/27/19 stayed overnight while moving kid to UMich. 2 double beds in room. Turned down first and it looked like dirt all over bedsheets. But second bed looked ok. Too tired to move rooms so left all belongings on desk and slept in clean bed after checking under mattress and around head board. 48 hours later entire left arm swelled in bites. 4 Groupings of three bites from shoulder to elbow.
