First Reported: 2/11/2017. Came in 2 days later, found bed bugs, said they have been there for 4 months. They found out we only lived there not even 3 months and then changed their story. They said they couldn't get pest control in until the following week. I hired my own exterminator to come in on 2/14 as I could not go to work. AVA then got someone to come in on that Friday. We were then told not to sleep on our bed for 6 more weeks until entire treatment is complete- this was recorded with permission. Apartment management then said we can sleep on it 3 hours after treatment without acknowledging the miscommunication from their vendor. They were found in the walls, ceiling, and electrical outlets. I have all my belongings in plastic bags, washed and dried everything on the highest heat for 2 hours, bed bug proof mattress covers, etc. Just slept in my bedroom for the first time in 2 weeks last night and found 2 bed bugs on my bed and multiple of them on the ceiling. I believe this is a problem living in the spaces between apartments and I do not believe my apartment management is properly treating or reporting to department of health. It is now 2/27/2017.
