Jan 29 - 31. Three people occupied the room, 2 at a time (i.e. 1 was there the whole time, the other two at separate times). We traveled to this location due to a family emergency. All 3 people have different residences in different cities. All 3 had bedbug bites after leaving this hotel. Here is the note I sent to Hilton after a thusfar very frustrating experience in trying to get ANYONE - local or at corporate - to respond: Dear Sir or Madam: I am not happy about your complete failure to address this issue with BEDBUGS in your hotel property. When I called your office today, I was informed that an email was sent to the management from your office and that it has never received a reply. I was also informed that you then closed the file on this matter. And all that came after pulling it out of "one of your employees"" who dished out a healthy dose of attitude BEFORE SHE HUNG UP ON ME AFTER I INSISTED ON SPEAKING TO HER SUPERVISOR. OTHER THAN THE INSULTING EMAIL BELOW, NO ONE HAS FOLLOWED UP WITH ME ABOUT THIS MATTER THAT YOU DEEM RESOLVED. Not only because I am a longtime Hilton Honors member, but because this is a serious public health issue in your hotel property, I think some folloW- through on your part to ensure that I was contacted by the local hotel management would have been appropriate. As I reported when I lodged this complaint with your office (taking over 20 minutes of my time while you entered information I provided including dates, room numbers, reservation numbers etc), we have already attempted to contact the hotel management and they have failed to return calls. I tried again today after Sierra hung up on me and the front desk person told me that they are “really busy”and the manager was not available. As you have already demonstrated, the comfort and safety of your guests are a low priority for Hilton, but should you actually care enough to discuss this matter with me further, you may contact me by phone at xxx-xxx-xxxx. In the meantime, I will be reporting this incident to the health authorities in Lincoln County, TN and to any other agency who might have an interest in this matter. I will be posting my experience with the lack of any kind of meaningful response to this problem on TripAdvisor and other social media sites. And, I will be careful to avoid booking at ANY Hilton property in the future.
