We started noticing bites a few weeks ago. Complained to management and they sent maintenance to "look around" and told us they didn't find anything. At that point we didn't know what it could have been. Management basically told us that they wouldn't move our room, and that we could find another hotel. That we were maybe allergic to their laundry detergent. Fast forward to this week. Bites getting worse. Decided to do our own through inspection of the room and found that the window curtains were completely infested. My brother in law, and nephew in the room next to us had also been getting bitten and inspectes their room and found live bedbugs crawling on the back of the mattress. So we alert the front desk. This was at 8am. He tells us to bag all of our clothes up and that we have to wait until 3pm for the Team Leader, Zack, to arrive and he would handle the situation. He also informed me that there were 2 rooms available on the first floor that we could possibly be moved to, and he would leave a note for Zack. 3pm Zack arrives and has no clue what is happening. He also tells us that per the general manager, Cameron, we were not to be moved to different rooms, but that we would have to find another hotel because they can't accommodate us. That they would refund us a week. So we are sitting around ALL DAY LONG waiting when we could have been moving to another hotel. Completely ridiculous. So at dinner time we are moving our family to another extended stay (which is not as nice. We are being downgraded). When I spoke to corporate they pretty much told me there was nothing they could do outside of refund us and send us on our way. The refund will take a week to get into my account. Thr health department was also made aware of the situation and code compliance will be at the property Monday. I have pictures of bites and the infestation.
