Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

November 10th developed red welts on left arm/shoulder. After visiting physician and being diagnosis with probable "shingles" was told if symptoms spread to opposite side of body then other things need to be considered. Consequently, did develop issues on other side of body and legs. Lead me to do a bit of research and found that "bed bug" bites initially present much in the same way as shingles. Red itchy welts. Inspected my bed and found the pests. Have never had issues with bed bugs before now. Have new neighbors as of approx 3 months ago and since have had issues with roaches, treated unsuccessfully, and now bedbugs. When reported to management was told I would be sent instructions on how to prepare for treatment. Still waiting for instructions now 8 days after initially reporting this issue. Was told over the phone they will ONLY treat "my" apartment and not neighbors.
