I've luved in my apartment for 2 years. Crappy maintenance and appliances but rents cheap no major issues. My daughter woke up a few weeks ago with what looked like mosquito bites. Itching. Etc. A week later the bites looked like miniature bruises and more came. The nurse said they looked like bedbug bites. I did a thorough inspection and found nothing. She refused to sleep in her room. Long story short i caught a fast little critter running away from our cat on her bed Monday morning. Close inspection confirmed a bedbug. I immediately contacted the office of my apartment complex in iron hill. The office does not show concern in anyway and advises a regularly scheduled treatment was set up for Thursday. Knowing a regular treatment would not cover removal of the pest i found evidence of, i called an alternative pest management company for consultation who confirmed bedbug was found and suggested treatment of unit and thorough inspection of surrounding units and treatment. My office seemed upset about my consultation when informed, when asked, denied anyone in my unit ever complaining of bedbugs. Advises not to talk to neighbors... bells. Why would i not talk to my neighbors?? Woman across the hall said 3 months ago they were crawling her walls. She brought evidence into the office, to the person who denied them to me, and her unit was treated... months ago... yet, noone in the building was notified or inspected?? The neighbor says there wete dozrns crawling the walls and along the baseboards!!!! I called corporate office, Rimsi Corp. They also denied any knowledge of bedbugs. Hmmmm. Why would my neighbor lie? Why would the office lie?? Why were allllllll the dumpsters and surrounding enclosures replaced a few weeks ago? I throw out my couch. Neighbor a building over says. Why you throwing it out it looks new, o reply bedbugs, he says that's what's been eating me alive.... call back corporate, demand inspection of units in my building for aggressive treatment. Office agrees and posts note on everyones door they will inspect on Thursday during routine treatment, to find source, and won't treat until found... wait a minute.... didn't you treat my neighbor months ago? Shouldn't you have told me? I have to wait?? Live with bugs biting me? Biting my kids? I feel like they have and are continuing to try and ignore, cover up, and pose blame of this problem. We need help. Who's paying to wash all my clothes? Replace my couch? Help my kids sleep? Not on the floor or afraid? Living out of bags? I'm suffering because of a problem this office knew about and failed to treat correctly. Sad. How can i get out of here
