I have lived in this apartment for 2.5 years. I had bedbugs the first time within a month of moving in. I didn't realize what they were for about a month because 1. I had never had them before and 2. The only ones I saw were in my drain in the tub. The exterminator swore that it couldn't be bedbugs if they were in the tub. Management had the exterminator (who comes to the complex every Wednesday) come and spray. It took several weeks of spraying and even bug bombing for them to go away. I had them again about a year later and 6 months after that, same situation. I was bug free for about 6 months when I came home from out of town to the maintenance working on the unit above me. I got a rush of full grown adult bugs. They were everywhere! I called and it took them 2 weeks to come in and spray. They were gone for 2 weeks or so after the first spray, then they came back. I called again and they came out that week and sprayed. I cleaned top to bottom. I took off my outlet covers and vacuumed in them, I put pine-sol on all of my walls and I put dryer sheets everywhere. I have gone to management several times asking them to spray the whole building to get rid of the infestation but they won't do it. They claim it would be inconvenient since not every unit has them. I have to keep my clothes and linens packed up because I never know if they are around. I also have to take my cat and dog OUT of the apartment for the whole day while they spray. I don't have anywhere to take them unless I am off work and can take them in the car. I am at my limit! I am consistently getting bites and this time I can't even find the bugs...I have only seen 2 adults. Something needs to be done!
