Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Date: Dec 10, 2018 around 7:30 am I woke up in the morning with a bed bug running on the blanket. I caught the bed bug but it was full of blood and got accidentally squeezed with blood on the tissue and some blood drop on the blanket. I checked under the bed and found a smaller bed bug. I reported the issue to the hotel front desk and they asked hotel engineer to come with me to my room to inspect the room and to treat the bed bugs infestation. The hotel moved me to a different room. The next day, I started to have itchy bumps on my neck from the bed bug bytes.

On Nov 11th we checked into Home 2 Home in Philly expecting nothing eventful to happen during our stay. Boy were we wrong. On Nov 12th we woke up w/red welts and small red dots moving in the bed. They were bed bugs. I am highly allergic to bug bites and I am covered with massive hives/welts. They are hot to the touch and the itching is making me crazy. I am using OTC products to help with swelling and itching but they are not working.
