VA recommends this low budget hotel because they give a veteran discount. after having to switch rooms due to cigarette smoke (hotel is non smoking), we stayed in another room down from the first. next morning, wake...go to pick up clothes on floor and found huge bedbug in bra...then we removed the sheets and found more and a very disgusting mattress also. Owner would not refund money, even after we BROUGHT him the bed bugs we found in a cup. staff was rude and disrespectful. Have pictures to prove mattress and bugs. we ended up having bites all over us later in the day.

On 06/27/2023 at around 2 am I checked in to the Baymont inn and suites in Johnson City TN on North Roan Street. Cost me 251 and some change for a room and 100 dollars deposit. He have us room 305. We went in was getting ready for bed and I felt something crawling on me! Looked and didn't see anything. About 20 min later i started to itch on my belly at my waist line. I keep telling my buddy I feel like something is biting me, I lifted my shirt up and seen whelps on my stomach. I continued to look on my boxers and seen a bed bug had been biting me. So I killed it. So my buddy said I feel something and moved his sheet back and a bed bug was on his bed and bit him. Video that and After further looking we seen 2 more around bottom of bed crawling and video them. Put 2 in a cup. Could not sleep and tried to call front desk around 5AM no answer. Finally got a hold of front desk and told her what was going on. She said manger not in yet at around 7 or so am. We told her we was going to leave our stuff in room because didn't want to carry none out in case in our bags. Was getting ready to leave out to make a Walmart run and noticed another bed bug and video it. Also put coins on our bags to make sure why we was gone, they didn't go through our stuff and video us leaving room 305. As of today still have not received no call from management yet.
