Nov. 4, 2016 After just one night at this hotel, I woke up with a wicked bump next to my ear. It was different from any acne I had, so I immediately suspected it to be from a bite. Additionally, I had small bumps on my upper right forearm. I did a quick check of the mattress but found nothing. Last night, lo and behold, I woke up after midnight of my 3rd night here, and there one sat, crawling across one of the white sheets they have a blanket encased in (not the bottom sheet I was laying on). I panicked, but took time to get a clear plastic bag and trap the bug. After that, I took ALL pillow cases, blankets and sheets off of both beds. Though I could not find any of his relatives actively crawling around, both box springs showed evidence of bed bug fecal residue (dark stains). Utterly disgusting! I keep reading that they often hide in the mattresses and box springs, so I shudder to think what I'd find if I could cut them open. I will not be staying here again. It was a cheap booking through Priceline but clearly not worth it. I will be showing the manager my bug in the bag and photos I took. The clothes I have sitting the unused bed (and my gym bag) I may just throw away. I fully expect them to either refund my stay or pay for the things I'll need to replace. Anything with a porous surface, I don't trust. I'm scared of transferring hidden bugs back to my home. I have pictures if anyone wants them.
