4 of us stayed her on Sept. 30 for 1 nite. My brother slept with his son in the window bed. My son and I slept in the other bed. I started itching during the nite and thought maybe a spider bit me. I couldn't sleep much, got up and went to the bathroom and found a live bedbug on the floor by the baseboard. I put him in plastic and brought him to the desk and told them there were bedbugs. they said there would be no charge. (My brother Jon Egeland had booked this room through Priceline) He was to followup with priceline. My son and I got countless bites-truly too many to count. I got many on both arms, in clusters and huge welts developed plus a few on my ankles and 1 on my tummy.. He got bitten on both sides of his neck-several large disfiguring welts now and also on his arms. If I were to guess how many bites total between both of us I would say close to 100. it is awful and he is embarassed to go to school tomorrow and I don't blame him.. mine are very itchy and 1 developed some red streaks up my arm. I read the reviews for this motel as being bedbug free. My gut feeling is that there was a problem that wasn't fixed. this is not a small problem. If we got this many bites, there are many many bugs in that area of the motel and very likey in several or more adjoining rooms. the rugs were dirty, things in general in disrepair, swimming pool closed, hallroom bathrooms closed, multiple tags on doorknobs which said do not disturb at all hours. not many people were there. ran out of coffee. plugs ins didn't work on and on. the 1 young lady and maybe her daughter were at the desk and very kind to us. this motel shouldn't be open in my opinion. this is a huge infestation.
