Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

My husband and I spent last night at the Baymont Inn and Suites (Newark, DE) and this morning my arms and neck were covered in bites. We lifted the mattress and there were many full grown bed bugs surrounded by many, many baby bed bugs (I have many photos if you would like to see them). We left the room immediately, without even showering, and bagged all of our stuff for treatment. When we reported it to the front desk, they were very apologetic and said they would give us a refund, but other guests around us began complaining of getting bites as well!!! This place needs to be SHUT DOWN as there is clearly an infestation.

My son stayed at this hotel with friends. They thought they were being bitten by spiders. They were laying on the beds watching TV and spotted a bed bug. They actually caught it and showed management. The hotel was just going to refund them for one night but they ended up refunding their entire stay.
