Checked into hotel around 11:30 pm. Did our usual mattress inspection of 4 corners. Within about 30 minutes of getting settled in - our son found a bug crawling on his arm. We had never seen a bed bug before so we weren't sure but upon further inspection of the pillow and sheets 4 more bugs were found. We notified the front desk staff who moved us to their sister property next door. We were then told someone would follow up with us the next morning as we were looking for guidance on how to proceed home so that we did not bring any bugs home with us. By the time we settled in there it was 2am. Next morning we did not receive a call - we drove over to Best Western around 11 am. We were told that they could not instruct us until it was confirmed (even though we had pictures and staff also saw bugs.) Bug guy named John came and inspected the room. Said all he saw was a spider and also proceeded to ask us if we had children - yes - he then asked, do your kids go to school - yes. He then said You have bed bugs. So for anyone reading this --- according to John if you have children that are in school, you have bed bugs. This is as so unacceptable. He then went on to tell us that he has an award winning dog who is off on Sundays and that that particular room has never had a problem. He treated us as if we were lying and that we were being ridiculous. We do have pictures of the four bugs and upon further research we read of others that also found bed bugs in this hotel. So much for your award winning dog! In addition and not related to bed bugs we also found a hair ball in the bathroom and it appeared the bathroom floor had not been swept.

Checked room upon arriving. Next morning Sept 25 2016, woke up with bites, lifted bedding on box spring, found live bed bug. I took it to front desk and asked for a refund, and advice on how to prevent from raki g them home, I was told to bag all of our belongings, which we did and threw everything away including luggage.

Checked in 8/27/2023 seemed OK I had to sleep on couch due to my COPD after first night woke up with rash on my right side didn't think much of it but after spending time sitting on couch during day then sleeping there second night woke up with more bites on my ankles both sides and elbows reported to staff they came to room then told us to stay and wait for maintenance man even though it was check out time we waited 30 minutes then front desk called and complained about us still being in room went to front desk showed them pics of bed bugs and bites with a uncaring response, don't stay here, very bad bites and employees very negative.

1)September 30-October 1, 2023 2)I never had bed bugs but as soon as I spend one night at Best western hotel I noticed bed bug bites on my lower back and both arms. Reported, No refunds.
