January 1,2019 I’m getting up bout to shower and I noticed bumps on my lower back I check the bed and call the front desk someone was sent to take the pillows and sheets they said they was going to refund me my money and pay the bills when the investigation over. My son slept on the other bed thank god he wasn’t bite.

I traveled to Norfolk, VA in early May to visit my boyfriend about 3 weeks after having shoulder surgery. The day before I left, we found a bed bug. We killed it and passed it off thinking we had brought it in from the wine festival on Mother's Day. As soon as I got home to Mass, he called me to let me know he found more bed bugs. I immediately cleaned my sheets, clothing, and anything that would go in the wash. The next week bites showed up on my skin, first my left arm because of my sling and the pillow I had to sleep with for pain, and then everywhere else. I called the hotel to let them know. There response was: "You probably won't get a call back because the reservation wasn't under your name. The hotel has a government contract with your boyfriend's company, so either your boyfriend or his company will receive a call back." It's like they could care less. I spoke to my boyfriend who spoke to his company, there have been multiple complaints about bed bugs in the hotel but the hotel just sweeps them under the rug because they have a contract with the government. I have an apartment, I live with two others with tenants upstairs. It cost me about $300 to replace my bedding and purchase safe guards. I'm bringing in a fumigation team to get rid of them once and for all which will cost be an additional $600 and not to mention my landlord could evict me. Something needs to be done.
