On March 11th we checked into WorldMark in Red River, NM. That night I pulled back the covers of one of the beds for the first time and saw a bug crawling across the bedding. We trapped it, took pictures and looked online and saw that it had a segmented body like a bed bug. We reported this to the hotel management who suggested that we brought the bug in with us and planted it there, and that it was a tick and not a bed bug. They said they wouldn\'t be able to confirm with an exterminator until after we checked out. That night, one of our guests was bitten severely around the ankles, under the arms, and on his head. The bites were in lines and consistent with what we found online. We showed this to management and they still refused to believe us. We posted the pictures of the bug online and confirmed with a community dedicated to identifying bugs that indeed what we found was a bed bug. After we left the hotel, an exterminator came in and confirmed that it was a bed bug AND that he found another one alive in the room. The hotel management called and confirmed that was the case and then told us to have all of our clothes and gear dry cleaned and laundered and that we would be reimbursed. We were never reimbursed and they will not answer our attempts at contacting them about this.
