Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

During my stay the week of April 17, 2016, I unknowingly was infested by bed bugs. once I got the room key, and got to the room, I checked the mattresses and sheets, (I do that in every hotel I stay in), I did not notice any bed bugs, I thought I was in the clear. A week after I got home, I had bites on my body, so I checked my bedding, I could see suspicious looking lint, I went to pull the clothes out of the dresser to wash, there was a live bed book on the bottom of the drawer. Aspen Hotels was the only place I could have picked up the bug.
