Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

While staying at Relax inn from July 6 through July 15 in Rooms number 105 and 106, my nephews and I noticed little red bumps after the first night of staying there. As the days progress, more and more itchy bumps appeared. While taking a close look at the top portion of the mattress, I noticed bed bugs and reported this to the night shift manager whom was a black male. We switched from room 105 to room number 106. After realizing that bed bugs were in this room as well (by verifying in the mattress), I left this infested motel and got a room at the Comfort Inn. The manager was made aware of this issue and to date, nothing has been done to rectify it. I am requesting that the State Health Department take a look into this motel and force them to either clean up their act or close this place down.

We had problems with rats. Then bed bugs. And the only people that were nice about it was the housekeeping. Got cussed out by the maintenance man and the was treated rudely by the owner. Got a "brand new" matress and was still getting bit. Horrible experience

How to get rid of Bedbugs at home

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
