Moved out of state from Maryland,landlord said carpet had been replaced...I got in at 11pm with mover Knew immediately there had been rats in backyard (huge bait box) mouse poison in drawers and roach remnants in cabinets, and mouse poop in various areas Within 2 hours of setting up bed I saw a bedbug on the wall ,my boyfriend woke up bit and we saw one on the mattress crawling on the sheet and another crawling on edge of carpet amongst some dead ones Landlord told me at 4am to go pay for a hotel or go back to Maryland Next morning i went to another apartment,taking a chance with my unpacked boxes Pest control that afternoon said to not take my mattress/boxspring,dresser or playpen and 2 sets of bedding I had unpacked I am now sleeping on the floor in my new place and the landlord is saying he is not liable for my furniture even though he is My 8 month Olds crib I brought since it was still boxed but he refuses to sleep in it and now is on the floor with me because of no bed or playpen
