Just wanted to express my angst and disgust with TheSunset Harbor Resort in Willis, TX near Conroe. Quite frankly it is no resort at all. My partner and I moved to Texas in October from Chicago, IL. We have not closed on our home yet and booked The Sunset Harbor resort through our RCI timeshare. We have been staying at the resort since October 4th. About two weeks ago after being switched to a new unit I noticed tons of red patches all over my body. I went to urgent care and was treated for an allergic reaction which later we found out was due to bed bugs in the unit. The Assistant Manager stated they would bomb the room and everything would be fine. Here it is two weeks later and we see bed bugs in the unit. We were told they would \"bomb\" the room again with everything in it and send us to a new room. We left for hours for them to take care of this just to come back to the General Manager Audrey to tell us at 3:30 pm that we had to vacate their premises by 5:00pm. We had done nothing wrong. We paid money for weeks. We abided by all rules. They have a bed bug problem and proceeded to blame us and kick us out. We are from Illinois with no friends or family here. So essentially we were told to get out with nowhere to go. The General Manager was continuously rude, condescending, and demeaning towards me. Constantly making comments toward other witnesses in the room causing further embarrassment. I proceeded to tell her we should not be treated this way and her rude behavior was unprofessional. She stated that \"do I want her to make this ugly.\" I\'m not sure how much uglier it could have gotten we would be sleeping in our cars on the side of the road somewhere. We went through all of this to find a video posted on YouTube by another Sunset Harbor Resort guest in an identical if not the same room actually showing the bed bugs...and this was in June 2015. We only have pictures and a small video but this guy was detailed. I was appalled that she would blame us for such a thing. I\'m not sure if The Sunset Harbor has any concern for anyone. We have also found other reviews on Trip Advisor of people saying this place has had bed bug infestations. Clearly they are not properly treating their property and exposing people to the annoying bugs.
