Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

9/21/17 we discovered bed bugs in the 2 villas we stayed in. mgmt didn't respond until the next day. they issued a refund for our room fees.

On December 26, 2022 we stayed at Three Bears Lodge. I felt a bug crawling on me not long after shutting off the lights. I turned the lights back on, saw an insect and googled it, a bed bug. The kids immediately found two more on the other bed. I put them in a baggie and showed the front desk. They were very kind and gave me my money back. We left right away!

On 5/3/24 around 8 am my 4 yr old son noticed a bug crawling on the bed. It was a bed bug so I caught it and took it to the front desk. They refunded me and gave me a roll of quarters to dry my stuff.

7/26/2024 Found bedbugs between 12-1am. Reported to front desk. Offered new room, looked at it. Seemed ok but not worth it. Packed up and left. Had kids sleeping in beds. Drove 2 hours home. Refund offered/honored.

How to get rid of Bedbugs at home

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
