February 7, 2018. Woke up at 6;00 am to find several bed bugs on my mattress and pillows. Stayed in room 317 overnight. Reported to hotel staff when leaving hotel at approximately 6:40 am. Was informed that a family that stayed in that room around 3 weeks ago were suspected of bringing them in. Informed that room was fumigated prior to my stay. Was informed to contact hotel manager later in the day when she arrived.

I arrived at the hotel on Friday, April 26th for a business meeting. My business partner arrived the night before. We had meetings all day. Went to bed around 11:00-11:30pm and was immediately bitten on my neck several times. I didn’t immediately assume it was bed bugs. I thought possible just a mosquito. I dozed off until about 2:20am when I felt a series of bites on my hands. I got dressed and went to the front desk. The attendant responded quickly quickly with clean linen to set up the pull out couch since the hotel was sold out. Once the lights were on, I noticed that I had been not only bitten on my neck but also my chin, earlobe, check, both arms is several places and calf. We inspected the bed and found several “spots” the attendant assumed was lint. I later took pictures of the “lint” moving. The next morning, staff were extremely apologetic an helpful. They provided garbage bags to help quarantine our clothes that may have been infected and credited the one night stay. I just left urgent care where I’m being treated for the bites with anti-biotic so and a steroid. I’m also taking Benadryl for the itch. I’m contacting the CDC in the morning to determine how to handle the bags and luggage I brought home.
