Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

In the end of June, 2015, I became covered by bed bug bites, about 50 of them, while staying at the Eugene Whiteaker International Hostel. I thought they were mosquito bites but the way they look, and how they are in clusters, made them seem different. A friend saw them and told me they were bed bug bites! Looking them up online, that is exactly what they are...and now I see online at TripAdvisor that the Eugene Whiteaker International Hostel knew they had bed bugs in March 2015...the owner has been a complete jerk, trying to deny this happened...leaving me to clean up his costly and painful big mess.
