Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

My husband and I moved in to our new condo and discovered that our neighbor next to us has bed bugs. They were moving out a mattress and laid it on the grass, and you could see them crawling all over the mattress. We called the landlord about it and he said he knew. The next day a company came out and treated the condo. Within a week, I would wake up with my wrists and ankles covered in bites. I'm very upset to pay $800 a month for this problem. Every week I wash my bedding and leave them in the dryer at a high temp for an hour and a half to kill any eggs. I'm very upset.
