I had bed bugs for about 3 months of my stay and was not compensated in any way for the inconvenience. Instead I received an annoyed reaction every time I came to the office to tell them about the bugs. There is also a cornucopia of cockroaches. So if you are looking for the cheapest, lowest quality apartment in denton, Denton North is for you.

12/12/19 Upon moving into apt. 3-116B Building 5; I spent the first 2 nights there by myself to see how clean the place was. I immediately started itching in the middle of the night and woke up to bed bugs all over the apartment! Now I'm no bug expert, I started taking pictures, thinking the apartment was infested with Roaches. I emailed the office in the middle of the night letting them know the situation. After having to sleep in the tub and getting bitten everywhere, I finally got a hold of the office and told then to fix the problem. They responded immediately to the "roach" issue. Now granted, their pest control comes in only once a week on Friday's. I spent the night on the 12th of December, which was a Thursday. So I got lucky, thinking it was an easy breeze from here on out. NO! Bed bugs were the issue from the very beginning. Me and my gf upon realizing what the issue really was, did not get an immediate response from the office on how to deal with it. Now I work late hours, and the only time that the office insisted that a treatment be done in the apartment, is during the middle of the day, when I have no chance of coming in to "prepare" for said treatment. The office has been holding it over us ever since, as an excuse to not let us terminate our lease. Me and my gf threw away more than $1000 worth of furniture, clothes, dishes and food. After attempting to terminate our lease by the 21st, their supervisor denied our termination a week later. I was then accused of missed payments as to another reason why I could not terminate my lease. I requested to have all my paid history sent to me and was told I had to pick it up. An hour drive later and I'm given nothing more than a sheet of paper with inaccurate dates on it. Claiming that I still owe next month's rent. Even though they want to terminate me out of their system. Sounds to me like they just want to make it look like I abandoned the apartment, and contract. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!! I'm hoping I can save at least one person from living here! Denton North has also had bed bug issues in the past. 2014-2015. A resident on their website gives a full description review.
