Active bed bug infestation precedes tenancy for over six families in over six buildings, new families are speaking up quickly. Each of us were mortified about having bedbugs having never had them before. Management knew of their bed bug infestation prior to "tenants" leasing. All families advised management of bites within 1 to 2 weeks of tenancy and were told to check for mosquitos; however, through emergency room visits confirmed they were bedbug bites. Tenants have captured bed bugs in their Units. We have had to FIGHT to get treatments. Management tries to convince some families they brought them. They threaten tenants who are speaking up with eviction for doing so. An attorney is involved at this time. Initially, some tenants who pushed for treatments received "spot" sprays with no material sheets provided; however, the treatment team began refusing to treat once the material sheets were requested for the chemical and stated they have a small business and fear compromising tenant's health. The management tenants do not necessarily dislike but have proven they lie continuously. Bed bug complaints were found pre-dating tenancy in multiple buildings - as well they management is aware infested Units were infested previously, which is in their files. All tenants sustained bites on legs, arms, torso, necks, back, face, ears, etc. and have permanent scars. Also, secondary eczema. Also, anaphylaxis. Disorientation, vertigo, depression, loss of sleep, cannot return to work until infestation is remediated. Some units were infested so bad the pest control state the walls move. Once infested moving is not an option as the bed bugs then move forward with you. Guests cannot come over for fear of being contaminated. Cannot visit Church, friends, family, etc. for fear of contaminating them.
