I checked in November 19, 2016 and went into room 238. I fell asleep pretty early, around 7 pm or 8 pm, but a friend's text woke me up. When I got up, I noticed a brown flat little bug on the bed spread by my chest. I killed it and it made a red splatter. I thought it might be a bed bug but I didn't want to believe it. Around 5 am, I saw a bed bug nymph. It was clear but I could see the red blood inside. This time I knew it was a bed bug so I took video of the bug and I drove to the front desk and got a new room. The lady I spoke to told me to speak to another lady after 7 am about the problem. The second lady didn't want to see the video. She basically took $15 off my bill and said she would speak to her exterminators. I have bites on both arms, the back of my neck, and my thigh. Now I'm paranoid I've brought the bugs home with me, even though I dried my clothes when I got back home.

Checked in at 5:04 pm. Put bags down and could tell room was old but decent to stay the three nights. Left for dinner and came back. Showered and was in bed. Around 10:30 pm my husband was bit. Instantly I got up and went to office and took the pillow with the blood where he popped the bug. Office lady “Morgan” was upset I brought in office and I said how do you think I feel with all my belongings I brought for trip are in the room. Husband came to office and put a bug on counter for her to see being she was telling me it wasn’t a bed bug. I have videos of them crawling on bed. I have pictures. I have paper stating my check out was 11:08 pm. I have picture of that paper in front of door proving I was there and was leaving. Lady in office lied about her name initially and only would give me the managers first name. Told me there was no way I could speak to her. Wouldn’t give me a number. She was nice enough to offer me another room but who would go from one infested room to another? Absolutely not. I demanded a refund. After mins and mins later of going back and forth and said she would call police if I “bothered” other guests telling them they had bedbugs. I even said I will pay for 1 full night even though it’s been only 5/6 hrs. I still got denied. I was on a romantic Valentine’s vacation from Florida. Their website is beyond misleading. It was late and we had to make other arrangements and I was pissed. I checked in on 2/12/2022 and checked out on 2/12/2022. I was suppose to check out on 2/15/2022. I filed a report with the Buncombe county health department “environmental “. I called bank when I returned back from trip and disputed the hotel transaction and now reporting on this site!!
