Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Woke up with bytes on my neck and my upper body, I went to complaint and they said they didn't believe me. Showed them a dead bedbug plus a live one and then they believed me. Horrible customer service

October 1, 2016; Room 203 and others. Spent the night here and the four of us woke up to hundreds of bug bites. The owners were not concerned and even denied a problem. They were not interested in fixing the issues. I heard others complaining about their rooms. I sent an e-mail to the Chamber of Commerce in the event they had any pull in getting this cleaned up. As they forwarded this to the CEO, I noted the following quote:"This is getting out of hand. We need to do something about this". A response to me is that they were going to file a complaint with the county health department. No further contact from them in the last three days.

07/17/2017 My wife saw the first bed bug and killed. I did the second. However, we did not keep the dead bug. Instead, I rushed to the receptionist and report, expecting their apology and proper actions. They did not believe me, and requested a proof. Never even come to the room and check. Never changed the room. We saw the third one again. I took a photo with my iPhone. The meta info keeps the location and time of the photo taken. It is the Inn's address, and 11:50 PM. We had nowhere else to go, and we already checked in. Must be the Inn. But they did not believe and told me to bring a live bed bug in the cup!!! My wife and the receptionist talked to each other. The receptionist agreed that we stay one night in another room and will leave in the following day. Our initial reservation was three days. The receptionist agreed that she would refund for the two days. Next morning, she refused to refund for the two days! The manager did not show up. The receptionist just told us that we should talk to the manager but doesn't know when he/she comes. It was Yosemite. Just waiting there? What a waste of time! Fortunately, I called the Booking.com. I believe they did some magic, so the manager was reached much earlier than the receptionist said. The manager easily told the receptionist to do the refund for two days. I've traveled quite a lot. Almost once a month. Used a lot of hotels. Have been to Yosemite area several times in 2 years. Never ever experienced such a bad service.

Woke 6 am on 18 September 2017 after first night at hotel to find blood smears and bedbug on sheet. Went to office around 7 am and cancelled remaining two days of bookings - they agreed to charge me only for the one night spent there.

We checked into the Yosemite Inn in Mariposa on 09/28/17 at about 3 pm. We stayed in room 102. I woke up itching about 4 am and thought maybe it was poison oak or a mosquito bite. I had trouble falling asleep due to the itching. I went back to sleep and when I woke up later that morning, I discovered a little bug running on my pillow. I checked under the blankets and saw little black specks that were moving. They were on the blankets and bed spread too. I didn't realize that I was bitten yet. After that, we packed up and checked out of the hotel at 11 am. I mentioned to the hotel manager that there were bed bugs in my hotel room. He said that there was nothing he could do since I didn't tell him earlier before I checked out. He said that he would have changed our rooms if we told him sooner. All he did was give us 2 coupons for free ice cream at a burger place. A few hours later, I discovered that I was bit all over my legs, arms, neck, toes and wrist and I was absolutely miserable. I took pictures of the bugs and my bites. I reported this to the visitor's bureau. I hope these bugs didn't follow me home. I am in horrible discomfort and I have over 30 bites that are itching terrible, burning, swelling and infected. This definitely ruined my trip to Yosemite. I feel that the Hotel should be held accountable and they should at least reimburse guests due to this horrible condition. Now I have to pay to see a Doctor since my skin is now infected. Don't stay at Yosemite Inn or as I call it "YOSEBITE INN" it bites!

How to get rid of Bedbugs at home

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
