Upon arriving we noticed a heaving smoke smell in the room. Pictures were removed from wall, headboards were extremely crooked. Didnt notice any bedbugs until the next morning @ 7am - 3/23/2019. I noticed a bug on the bed bug didnt think anything until my son yelled and said a bug was on his backpack, which he had next to the bed. I killed it immediately and placed it in a paper. Researched and found it was a level 3 bed bug...quite large in size. I immediately went down and reported it to the office which the girls didnt seem surprised. They just apologized and said they'd get an inspection done. I left the one bedbug on the piece of paper, circled it and had a note stating they had an infestation. I did check the mattress, which had bedbug protectors on it. The hotel was quite outdated, so I'm not sure if the bugs are staying behind the bed frame which is attached to the wall or behind the carpet trim which is coming off the wall.
