Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

After staying there two nights my toddler has liner red bug bites on his shoulder. We reported this to the manager. They said they found spiders in the room. The liner patter indicates otherwise.

One week after our visit I was unable to identify bites that appeared on my arms. The bites continued to spread and after seeing a doctor it was confirmed to be bed bugs. I called the resort at 10:31am and explained what was going on. I was told the room would be thoroughly checked and they would contact me once it was completed. I received a phone call at 10:47 saying that the inspection was clean and there was no sign of bed bugs in the room. I was offered half my payment back. When I asked about the freedom of information act documents that woukd show if and when my room had ever had reports or treatments for bed bugs I was transfered with no answer.
