On April 27, 2018, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Athens Tn., I was waken to something crawling on me at about 2:15am I got out of bed and went to the bathroom where the light is much better I saw that I had been bitten by bed bugs in the corner of my eye, neck, arm and hand I called the front desk to report this and the lady told me there is nothing I can do to help you bed bugs are everywhere now a days I said to her are you refusing to come into my room and look at this there are still crawling across my pillow and on the night stand the desk clerk told me I cannot leave the desk as I am the only one working here tonight I washed the blood off of myself and got dressed gather just a few of my personal items left the rest in the room of fear that I would infest my car and home I got out of that room as fast as I could on my way out the front door the desk clerk said to me oh are you leaving so soon I said nothing in return just kept walking you can bet I was charged the $129.00 for this bed bug infested room stay the way the desk clerk as acting lead me to believe the hotel staff was very much aware of the fact that they are infested with bed bugs now I am trying to figure out I go about reporting this issue to the Health Department
