Tuesday, August 30, 2019. All mattresses in this hotel have bed bug encasements, which impressed me. While getting ready for bed, a bed bug walked across the white comforter on one of the beds. My husband was able to squash it. He brought it to the front desk and first they said it was a baby roach, but after googling they agreed it was a bed bug. They changed out room (one floor up, 2 rooms over). We saw something suspect on the box spring, but it didn't look exactly like bug debris, and we were so tired so we stayed in that room. They didn't think to have us put our luggage in plastic before we moved rooms and we had to ask for some bags before we left. We tried talking to the manager before leaving but he was in meetings. He was supposed to call us after leaving but he hasn't. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we didn't spread bugs home, though we have half of our stuff outside still.
