We stayed for 6 nights in this townhouse. My youngest daughter (13) had a couple of spots on her, but we thought they were just mosquito bites. The day after we left she really started breaking out, particularly on her arms and lower legs; the areas not covered by clothing while she is sleeping. We now thought maybe it was the soap she used while in Gatlinburg. I took her to the doctor, who said because of the placement on her body, and the way the spots congregated together, she was almost certain it was bedbugs. She said it can take several days for a person to start breaking out, since it is an allergic reaction. Unfortunately it was too late to check the bed, since we had already traveled back home. Only our daughter slept in this room; we were in a 3 bedroom unit so we had other bedrooms available, and no one else has shown signs of bites. I have checked our beds at home and found no signs. She has not been anywhere else that she would have been likely to come into contact with them.
