Pod Hotel Bed Bug Reports

The Pod Hotel is located on East 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. This is the heart of Midtown in an area surrounded by restaurant and bars and fun night life. We are also in walking distance to the theatre district which helps avoid the problem of finding a taxi after the show. We are walking distance from the United Nations, Central Park, Bloomingdales and many other attractions. The subway is 1 block away and you can be anywhere in NYC in minutes. We are near the 59th street bridge and FDR drive providing easy access to the major airports.

Found a live bed bug crawling across my pillow on my 2nd night of stay. I took a picture then killed it and called the front desk. They said they would send someone to check. A maintenance person came to my room 15 minutes later and took the pillow away. 20 minutes later I was still sitting in my room and hadn\'t heard from the hotel. I called the front desk and told them I needed a different room - it was around 10:40 pm. They said I could come downstairs and get a new key. They put me in a different room, but no apologies, no concern. I pulled the sheets off the other bed and still can\'t sleep. So creeped out.
