We were staying at this hotel for three nights and did not inspect the room for bed bugs, but after the third night in the morning my boyfriend saw bugs on the bed. There was one larger bug and some smaller ones. We took pictures of them and were not sure if they were bed bugs or not. My boyfriend went down to the front desk and talked to a lady and showed her the pictures of the bugs, including zoomed in pictures. The lady at the front desk said they looked like beetles and that people that go to outside weddings sometimes bring them back. So, as I've never seen bed bugs before and we had been at an outdoor wedding the night before, I decided to trust the lady, assuming she knew what she was talking about and we just got ready to check out. I had a close friend who had just dealt with a bed bug infestation in her new home and asked her some questions and sent her pictures of the bugs. She was absolutely sure that they were indeed bed bugs. A day after we stayed at the hotel I had noticed all these tiny bites all over my body, often they were in a line. I am not sure if the lady at the front desk simply did not know these were bed bugs or if she did just not want to tell us the truth. I just hope we did not bring any back with us to infest our house.
