checked into this hotel on Thursday September 28 and checked out Saturday September 30th room (127) the first night in the room my friends and I seen a small bug but thought it was a bug from outside being that we had been outside and just came back in so we didn't think much of it so Friday morning we left early to start our day and I complained that my back was kind of swollen and felt like a bite and of course it was a little red but still nothing really major so we went on with our day and night because we was in town for homecoming and our 20 year class reunion we returned to the room about 11pm on Friday September 29th we went to sleep I woke up about 3 going on 4 am itching so I woke my friend up to check my back where I was itching at and a lot of lumps and bite marks was on my side Back arms and face so we pulled the covers back and seen the bed bugs crawling in bed we called the front desk the young lady came in looked and seen the bugs and my bites herself she was very concerned and called the manager immediately and came back to the room stating the manager told her to apologize and that he would take care of the charges for the stay and then moved us to room (125) so after we changed room at 4 in am we finally get back to sleep at about 6 for me to wake up at 8:30 with even more bites and swelling I then went to front desk to ask for manager I was told he wasn't there and he was aware of incident and stated he already took charges off for my stay (as if that was all that needed to be done) so the rude front desk attendant took my phone number and stated the manager would be calling me soon as he got in so then I asked for corporate number and for a incident report to be done I was told they don't do or have incident reports so now I'm very pissed so I called corporate and got a really nice guy on the phone and he stated that they did indeed file reports and he did take one then he called the front desk to get some information and he was treated rudely and they was very resistant with him as well he also stated that they take bed bug cases seriously and that they was sending investigators out to hotel and someone from corporate will be contacting me by Tuesday I also emailed them pictures of the bites on me as well as bugs in bed also they typed up a false incident report not even on letter head stating I claimed to have been bitten by bed bugs and I didn't complaint the first night but decided to the second night and that I requested a refund in which I never requested a refund so on Saturday I called WLTX I also contacted a lawyer and will be contact the health department on Monday morning I went to hospital and was told I was having a bad allergic reaction to the bites I was given steroids, antibiotics, Benadryl and taken out of work for 4 days so yes you have let the wrong guest get affected by your nastiness and sadly I'm a regular customer this is my go to place to stay every visit I'm in Columbia never had any issues until this stay these people treated me like crap told me to do what I saw fit to do but he gave me a refund I still haven't spoken to the manager as of today he never called or anything only sent messages through staff. Very sad, rude and unprofessional business that needs to be shut down
