Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

My wife woke up at 3:30 am Saturday am on 3/12/16. She pushed back the covers to use the bathroom and saw a black bug moving along the sheet. Trapping it in a cup we then reported it to the front desk who have called an exterminator. Hoping not to have to discard personal belongings and not pleased the hotel did not offer any help at all.

Bed bug found in my bed at 3:39 am Saturday morning 3/12/16 I caught it with a cup and showed fro t desk who said they would call an exterminator. Now I have all the cost and hassle of de-bugging my luggage and no help offered at all from La Quinta. Disgusted is mild for my opinion of this establishment
