On 2/6/2015 (Friday), my family spent the night at the Super 8 motel in Chico, CA in room 219. Friday night, my husband found a bug on the bed, and then killed it. But he did not know that it was bed bug. He thought it was just a regular bug. Saturday morning, I woke up and noticed my husband and I had many red bug bites on our faces, chests, legs, arms, and backs. There were two beds in the motel room, and my husband and I slept on different beds, but both of us got bit. At the time, the bug bites were slightly itchy and we were in a hurry, so we did not notify the motel of the bug bites. Starting Friday (2/13/2015), the red bug bites started to swell and itch very much. My husband and I started having the same symptoms starting Friday. The bites itched so much that they began to hurt and both of us could not sleep for three nights. It was very hard for my husband and I to work on Friday through Monday because of the itchiness. My husband went to see a doctor on Monday (Feb. 16th). Doctor diagnosed his symptom was caused by bed bug bite and he needed treatment for 2 weeks. I called Super 8 Chico several times, but they lie to me that manager would contact me. I did not any respond.
