Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

My family and I stayed for one night on 3/11/17 in room 253. I inspected the room for bedbugs, like we always do when staying at a hotel and the room came up clean. The mattresses and boxsprings were even in encasements, which I was pleased to discover. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning with 12 itchy bites in the classic 3 bite pattern all over my feet and ankles. I have some experience with these nasty critters, having survived an infestation of my apartment in 2010. I know bedbug bites when I have them. I contacted Best Western customer service and they apologized and said I would receive a call from the hotel to discuss the matter. I never did. I don't want a refund, I just want someone to inspect the room and the adjacent room and have them treated so the infestation isn't spread to other places and no other guests become a midnight snack for a bunch of hungry bedbugs.
