We stayed September 16-17th and as we had had a previous experience at a hotel with bed bugs I inspected the mattress which had a bed bug cover on it. I didn't see any evidence of bugs but I have to admit I didn't do a thorough look. The morning of our second night I awoke to small itchy bites (similar to bites I had had in the past when there were bugs present). We stripped the bed and found the bed bug nest under a pleat on the bed skirt. Management handled the situation appropriately and we did not pay for our room. They have had bed bugs before as they stated they will call Orkin and have the room and the adjacent room heat treated( $1500 per room). This should be a warning to check every single hotel room no matter the country or price of the room for bed bugs.
